Shires K9 Club is a friendly club which provides excellent facilities for dog training, obedience, ringcraft and puppy socialisation.
Every activity is supervised in secure surroundings with knowledgable and helpful trainers present.
Each session is taken by a trainer who has had alot of experience in that particular field, with at least another person to assist should you need extra support. Whether it be Obedience or Show Training and Etiquette, some one will be able to help you.
Here at Shires we strongly believe in setting your new puppy off on the right paw. We provide once a week a puppy socialisation session which is supervised by a minimum of three experienced trainers. We not only try to socialise your puppy with other puppies of different sizes and ages, but also a range of household objects, such as vacuum cleaners and also items like umbrella and baseball caps. You can never over-socialise a puppy!
Ringcraft, or show training is held on the same night, and there is a suberb matted area to move your dog safely, whilst also providing an excellent surface to stack your dog whilst being able to self judge yourself and your dog in the mirrored walls, There is also at least one trainer who will move them and go over each dog in turn.
Obedience has a night all to itself. This is so we can assess how each owner and dog has got on and to ensure that are in the correct class, beginners, intermediate or advanced. We do a range of activities from the basic walk to heel, sit and down to retrieves, send aways and recalls.
Please have a look round our site to find out what we do, how we do it and if you have any queries, please feel free to contact us.
